Farmers’ Market & Leeton Outback Band Spectacular
Food and market stalls in conjunction with the Leeton Farmers & Makers Market in Mountford Park added to the festivities of the Leeton Outback Band Spectacular 2022 held last weekend. This combined with great weather (not too hot, not too cold and definitely not raining) made for an absolute great day to be out and about enjoying the fresh area, great music, good food and company. The Outback Band Spectacular is a showcase of individual concert bands from all over the state, culminating in a massed band performance!
This year features marching band displays by the Marching Koalas and the Golden Kangaroos Concert Band, as well as performances by the Hunter Wind Ensemble, the Hawkesbury District Stage and Concert Bands, Murrumbidgee Jazz & Blues Collective, Riverina Concert Band, Hillston Central School Band, Cootamundra Town Band, Griffith Community Band, Junee Town Band, Leeton Town Band, Parkes Shire Concert Band, Temora Town Band, Wagga Community Band and West Wyalong Town Band.
Thank one and all who assisted either on the day or to ensure everything ran to plan.

RYE Training Weekend
On the weekend of the 5th and 6th of November both Inbound and Outbound exchange students went to Canberra for a training weekend. The outbound came from all over NSW and ACT, some of these places included Canberra, Cooma, Parkes and Blayney. The outbound students including Hanna came from Spain, Finland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Thailand and Japan. All the outbounders had to do group presentations.
This week Hanna provided us with an update of her weekend experience and also events in which she participated whilst Maggie Chant made the following comments. ‘It was very interesting learning about everyone. We also did a lot of training including health, preparation, etc. We got presented our blazers which was a huge honour. It was really fund hanging out with everyone and learning about their cultures.”
