Following the film, we were treated to a panel including Leila McDougall, the writer, executive producer, producer and lead actress of the film.She is passionate about mental health and suicide prevention in county areas.She hails from Tatyoon in Western Victoria and is the mother of two children.Along with Husband, Sean, they had already created ‘Mellow in the Yellow’ and initiative to raise awareness of mental health in rural communities.They landed on the idea of the film during Covid and set about producing the film which was released in 2024.
The Panel also included two psychologists from Griffith who talked about the services available in the local community.
