Farewell MIA Club After nearly six years, seven Club Presidents, two licensees and a name change, it is time to say goodbye MIA Club / MIA Function Centre. We have experienced good times, listened to some great guest speakers and spent many hours of fellowship within these walls. We have welcomed new members and bid a fond farewell to others. We have shown exchange students the Aussie way of life and kicked up our heels at Belle of the Ball celebration nights. Thanks to Matt and Gabby for hosting us, you both have contributed to the club, may it continue. As we leave this week, we look forward to opening another chapter in our Club’s history at our new venue. MIA Club, you have served us well, we say goodbye, seeya, ciao, adios, arrivederci, au revoir, adeus, auf wiedersehen, sayonara, do svidaniya, annyeong, slan, tot ziens. ******************************** Carmel’s Riddle of the Week The first two letters signify a male; The first three letters signify a female; The first four letters signify a great; While the entire world signifies a great woman. What is the word? ******************************** Director’s Roundup - Ham Carnival at Light Up Leeton with BBQ Van - 5 December, Mountford Park, all members required to assist on the day, with any assistance from volunteers gratefully accepted.
- Equipment Relocation – Due to expected inclement weather the relocation for Club equipment from the MIA Club to the Brobenah shed was brought forward. Thanks to Dan, Matt R, Brian, Geoff and Matt G.

- Next week – Luke Friend - ‘Reconnecting River Country program’ in southern NSW.
- Sergeant Neil – always ends his fine sessions with a joke.
******************************** The Menu Last week Chef Matt said he would be making something ‘extra special’ adding it would include ‘one of everything in the fridge and one of everything in the bar’ (his words not mine).Half true to his word we feasted on jambalaya, massaman beef, boiled rice, vegetables, sausage rolls, mini dim sims, salad, bread and butter. Apparently ‘everything in the bar’ had been relocated (funny about that!) except for a bottle of Amarula which was poured over mulberry ice cream and served for dessert. ******************************** Laurie’s Quote of the Week “Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” Riddle Answer:. Heroine -Winston S. Churchill ********************************
