If you are intending/considering coming to a Dinner Meeting, Board Meeting, Volunteering, or coming to a Social Night we would please ask that if you have travelled anywhere that may be considered a hot spot, or you're exposed to large groups of people and could be at risk of contracting the virus, please be mindful of us all and stay home. I know this goes without saying, but a little reminder/prompt never hurt anyone.

See you then.

Who is our Guest Speaker tonight ??
Shane Simmons has been with the Y for 13 years after commencing his career in 2008 as a Pool Lifeguard in Western Sydney. In 2011, he relocated to the NSW Hunter Valley to manage a leisure centre for the Y and in late 2012 was successful in taking on the role of Area Manager in Broken Hill where he spent 6 years managing the local aquatic and fitness centre. Shane’s most notable achievement at the Y was the $5.4 million upgrade of the Y’s fitness centre in Broken Hill where he contributed to the successful funding application of $3.9m from the State Governments Resources for Regions program. After that project was completed, he moved back to Sydney to take on a large portfolio consisting of 12 centres including CentrePoint Blayney , which he lead for transition to Y NSW in on August 29, 2020. The Y has now been managing Blayney CentrePoint for 6 months.
