Club News and Future Activities

- our next Market Day will be on 20th March 2022, next to CentrePoint.

Yes, we know it is the day after the Blayney show, but them's the breaks.

- 19th March Blayney Show gates. Mike has been actively chasing workers, he probably still has a few spots to fill. More details on the traffic control at the meeting.

- it is also the District Conference weekend in Temora, which will take a number of our members away, so please be ready to volunteer if you are not going to the conference.

- Easter Egg Raffle - please remember to bring along your "eggy" donation to give to Jane to include with the prize

- 26th March Movies Night - we will be selling hot dogs , drinks, etc

- Tractor Trek in September - we have indicated we will cook breakfast for these adventurous souls. More details closer to the Date

The MHERV will be in Blayney Tuesday 5th April.

The Men’s Health Education Rural Van is a regional project made possible by fundraising, generous sponsorship and time freely given by hundreds of Rotary Volunteers.

A custom built caravan with a dedicated Registered Nurse travels the state of New South Wales offering free health screenings to regional and rural men, who are notorious for being completely in the dark about the state of their health

RIP Elaine Farrelly

Acting DG Michael Moore writes :-

I write to inform you that Elaine, the wife of District Governor Leo Farrelly, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday morning. Our sincerest condolences are extended to Leo and to his family at this difficult time.

Many of you were aware that Leo temporarily stepped aside from his duty as District Governor while dealing with Elaine's terminal illness. I have had the honour of covering for Leo as Acting District Governor during this difficult time and will continue until Leo feels ready to return.

When more details become available I will send them through to Presidents and to District Executives.

What to do with your old mobile phone ?

The Rotary Club of Blayney has been approached to partner with Domestic Violence Safe Phone (DV Safe Phone). DV Safe Phone collect, repurpose and gift mobile devices to victims of domestic violence (DV) in need. This is done in partnership with registered charities, safe houses and law enforcement authorities serving this vulnerable community.

Collection boxes will be provided at the Temora District Conference for your "old phone" donations. Fellow Rotarians, please join RC Blayney to get a safe phone into the hands of EVERY victim of domestic violence in need.
