Tonight we will be visited by DG Leo, who is finally allowed into NSW. Everyone is invited to bring their partners tonight, 6pm for 6.30pm. The Blayney Golf Club has lots of room, so we can all easily fit.

The "climbing wall project" is progressing despite lock down restrictions. Mike and Jane will provide an update.

 

-The club AGM will be held on 18th November. This is when we elect our board for 2022/23.

 

 - The club Christmas Party will be an evening function on Sat 11th December at Mike & Jane's place on Guyong Rd.

 

 - the proposed club visit by Brindabella E-Club has been postponed to a date to be fixed next year , probably March.

 

 - our next Market Day will be in February 2022. Many of our stall holders come from areas that are still under " stay-at-home " health orders.

 

Andrew Russ is the only birthday this month I am aware of.

Global health experts expressed their optimism that Rotary’s goal of ridding the world of polio is within reach, during a 2021 Online Global Update. The 30-minute program, “Delivering on our Promise of a Polio-Free World,” provided encouraging information about the progress we are making and discussed remaining challenges in the fight to end polio.     Supporting education for girls in Bangladesh The Rotaract Club of Dhaka Orchid in Bangladesh met a young girl who could no longer go to school because her father died tragically in an accident and her mother’s income was barely enough for them to live on. Knowing how literacy is the key to overcoming poverty and providing for a better future, the club launched an effort to cover the family’s school fees. Supporting education is one of Rotary’s causes, and RI President Shekhar Mehta has made empowering girls one of the year’s presidential initiatives. Learn more about the club’s efforts.
