As the District 9705 Youth Exchange Committee completed training 12 lovely young Australian students in 2019 preparing them for their 12-month long term exchange overseas none of us could have predicted what 2020 was going to throw at all of us!

The weekend of 6th -7th February 2021 enabled all the Outbound students and parents to come together for a Debrief and Celebratory weekend.  They shared their experiences and how they coped and handled situations no student every had had to cope before.  They all showed remarkable courage, resilience, problem solving and kept their sense of fun.
This weeks Rotonotes are an experimental use of the ( relatively ) new version of the Bulletin Designer. Your feedback will be appreciated.
Quote for the Week
Presidency - I really don't think I'm worthy of the office, but I have to put the club before my own limitations.
(Name withheld on request)
Some Notes from March Board Meetings
1. President Suellen has taken 2 months leave from her position as President. We wish her well in taking time out to look after her family and herself.
2. P.P. John Power will be Acting President in the time Suellen is away. Be Kind.
3. Tonight we will be calling for Volunteers to help run the March Market, with help- needed to set up and run the BBQ, make the area Covid Safe, keep the area Covid Safe, and clean up at the end of the day. Please give generously of your time.
4. We will also be calling for Raffle ticket sellers for the Easter Raffle - dates and times on the sheet to be circulated.
5. And just relieve some of the pressure, we will not be running the Footy Canteen this season. Blayney has only 4 home games  and are planning to run the Canteen themselves.
6. Similarly the Inner Wheel ladies will not need us on Sunday 28th March. They have changed their minds about the Coin-for-Cord Fundraiser function.

You are all invited to join us at the Vocational Social night next week when we will visit the recently opened BLAYNEY BOOK NOOK.
