Kamloops Daybreak Rotarians:

Help inspire kids in our community with Junior Achievement!

Junior Achievement in British Columbia (JABC) is part of the world’s largest international organization dedicated to educating young people about business. They’ve been educating and inspiring students across BC since 1955.

JA brings volunteer business people like Rotarians into the classroom to deliver short, fun and interactive programs that teach workforce readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship: life lessons that kids may not get anywhere else.

Rotary has a history supporting Junior Achievement with volunteers and financial support.

Kamloops Daybreak’s visioning work identified “financial literacy for youth” as one of our goals of service.

Our plan is to action some programs in Kamloops schools with our volunteers – “Dollars with Sense” and any other programs requested by Teachers. As JA volunteers, we’ll inspire the next generation by sharing our experience – and in turn, we’ll be inspired by them.

Volunteer applications are available for Download on our webpage bottom right.

Our local Program Coordinator is Gemma Gowling who can be reached directly at gemma.gowling@jabc.org

Our District 5060 and JA have had great success recently in Central Washington with the opening of a JA Biztown in Yakima – check it out.... especially the business sponsors.
