Eye Opener for July 2017

Posted on Jul 26, 2017

Well, neither Sam nor I were at the past meetings, so it looks like I'm winging it for this newsletter! Fortunately I have a number of pictures from Kent so I can try and guess what happened!

If you have an event, hopefully you had it entered into Clubrunner so it shows up in the Upcoming Events list!!

INVOCATION

Hmm, I have a picture of Terry-Lynn Stone... she probably did at least one of the invocations, or was trying to get us to sell raffle tickets... or both.

And then for the following week... hmm, maybe Dan Pan and her little friend did the invocation??

ANNOUNCEMENTS

- Looks like Wade announced something....

MEMBER BIRTHDAYS/SPOUSE BIRTHDAYS / ANNIVERSARIES

Just do a little copy-pasta here...

      ANNIVERSARIES

PAUL HARRIS FELLOWSHIP - LISA LAKE

The Club congratulated Lisa Lake on achieving the status of Paul Harris Fellow...maybe??

NEWS/WEATHER/SPORTS

Colin O'Leary shared more antics of the O'Leary Household, and then stumbled through the sports update (I'm guessing). Looks like he changed shirts partway through too...

BUSINESS

Tony says the dollar is up as the markets start to show some doubts about Trump...

JULY 14th - RIBFEST SUPERVISOR TRAINING

Our local liquor inspector was on hand to provide needed training for Ribfest this year, along with the very capable Danica Wilkinson and Alison Wegner.

In case you didn't hear - YOU CAN NOT DRINK ON THE JOB!!

And, if you change shirts to go have a drink  - YOU CAN'T GO BACK ON THE JOB!!

Otherwise, remember that you can always ask for ID, even if they have a bracelet (don't just rely on the front security). Remember, most of our funds raised come from liquor sales, so if our licence is suspended or lost, it will severely impact our bottom line!!

JULY 21st - UMMM.... MAYBE IT WAS OUR OUTBOUND KATE??

I have a picture here of our outbound Kate... maybe she's leaving?

I want to say... Italy??

HAPPY BUCKS

Best I can do is this picture from volunteering at the Special Olympics...

And Ed Hanes with the gavel for some reason:

Well, that's your newsletter for this month... such as it is! Hopefully back to regular updates next week!
