Revised by-laws for our club will be voted on by the Board on May 4th.  Copies will be going out to the membership in mid-May for your review and voting on May 30. If you have questions, please contact Ronnie Wright.

 

Fourth quarter invoices and statements are out.  Please try and have all balances paid by the middle of May. If you have questions about your statement please contact the secretary. The Board will be discussing any unpaid accounts and membership on May 15th.

 

RYLA Youth Exchange (RYE) - During the school year 2017 - 2018 we may have the opportunity to host an in-bound student.  The board will consider it on January 23. If you know of anyone willing to host a student from 3 to 6 months let Kathy  or Carol know.

 

We have two great events coming up in June and we're looking for participants and volunteers to add to the fun. First up is the Taste of Las Cruces on June 8, 2017 - for which Vic Villalobos is selling tickets. Don't wait too long or you may not get a seat! Next up is our "Habitat FORE Humanity" Golf Charity, taking place on June 10, 2017 at Sonoma Ranch Golf Club. More information?

Thanks to everyone who helped make our club's annual yard sale to support the Mesilla Valley Hospice, we raised nearly $7200, augmented by Eddie Binns to make it a total of $7500! According to Chris May, over the years, we've raised more than $182,000 for the hospice - NICE WORK! The Rio Grande Rotary Club, in conjunction with volunteers and staff at the Mesilla Valley Hospice, has been putting on the yard sale for 19 years. We appreciate everyone's help and welcome any and all ideas to make this event even more successful.
