Running Buddies and Doctoral Candidate presents:

 
Last week we were pleased to have Alicia Quintanilla's guest Monica Cruz, presently a doctoral candidate at
UTSA in Applied Demography. She talked about her recent experience as director of the Center for Civic
Leadership at UIW. The UIW requires students to have 45 hours of volunteer work with a non-profit before
graduation in hope to foster a lifetime of volunteerism and involvement in the community.

Busy Night at our Monday night meeting

 
Another busy night at NCRC. John Chance and President John hold the Baby Box that the Club sponsored at University Hospital. Denise Pruett gave an update on University's roll out for all the Mom's birthing at University Hospital for the next four(4) quarters.  Mike celebrates getting the Rotarian of the year award, and Marty celebrates his 50th wedding anniversary!

University Hospital Update on Rotary and Baby Boxes

Denise Pruett -Executive Director of University Health System displayed the boxes used for our Pilot Launch in 2016.
Tonight's meeting will be an update on the University Video teaching and the new boxes and content which San Antonio North Central Rotary helped provide.
This is the lid used for the 2,165 boxes being distributed by University Hospital to the Moms Birthing at University.

Joel Lara R.S. Senior Sanitarian presented a comprehensive picture of the Mosquitos infecting San Antonio, and the efforts of the Vector Control division to eradicate their spread while still protecting the health of our citizens.

We are Selling Tickets

San Antonio North Central Rotary Club
will be selling tickets to the 8th Season of the
SAN ANTONIO MOZART FESTIVAL
Performance dates are July 29,30th and Aug 5th and 6th.
 
Local San Antonio and Texas musicians will fill the venues.
