Brady Rotary Club Business from Tuesday, February 10, 2026
Several options were discussed for where we will meet once we leave Brady Methodist. We're waiting on quotes from Redeemer and St. Paul's, which should come in the next day or two.
Dr. Martinez offered the use of the school library, with one or two lunches a month to be provided by the Culinary Club for a nominal amount. Judge Rob, citing the Lion's Club experience in Mason, suggested we could meet at a restaurant having a separate room, and which might only charge us meals for the people who actually show up, thus eliminating the problem of paying for no shows, and giving a break from someone having to pick up or deliver the food.
It was suggested that Trucountry Inn might offer its space rent-free, and might provide lunch. Also, the civic center was raised as a possible location.
So, there are plenty of options to consider.
The contractor for the Casa Care project says he can replace the flooring at a cost within the funds available from the G. Rollie White grant.
Our guest speaker was Cole Hawk, who spoke about his post-graduation options, which include his application to the Coast Guard Academy.
A Note on Guests
If you bring guests and/or prospective members to our weekly Rotary meetings, please let Lynn Munden know by Friday of the week before so there is enough food for everyone. We have more members attending each week, which is great, but Lynn needs to know about extras. Rotary members pay for their guests' meals (excluding the speaker). Orlando adds it to monthly dues.
