Our club program featured Jim Lero, co-owner of Rockin' J Smokehouse, speaking about the importance to local businesses of leaving positive reviews in social media after having good experiences with those businesses. That's something all of us could do better.

Lynn Munden had a couple announcements. The first is that Mission at Brady will be renovating houses a couple weekends from now. The other is that there will be an art show this weekend featuring twenty local artists. The exhibition will begin Friday evening with a special reception for artists from 7 to 9 pm at the Heart of Texas Event Center. The public is invited to attend, view the artwork, and purchase pieces, which will be available for pickup following the event on Saturday. Tickets for the reception are $15 per person and include wine and hors d’oeuvres. Dress is casual. On Saturday, the exhibition will continue from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering another opportunity for the community to browse and purchase art. Proceeds will go towards funding scholarships for local students.

A Note on Guests
If you bring guests and/or prospective members to our weekly Rotary meetings, please let Lynn Munden know by Friday of the week before so there is enough food for everyone. We have more members attending each week, which is great, but Lynn needs to know about extras. Rotary members pay for their guests' meals (excluding the speaker). Orlando adds it to monthly dues.
