We were thrilled to welcome three Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) camp graduates and students from Woodcreek High School in Roseville, California at last week's meeting.  These young gentlemen spoke very eloquently regarding the physical, social, and emotional challenges they faced and the lessons they learned regarding leadership as part of the week-long camp experience.  Their descriptions of confronting their fears and sharing those fears with others was a testament to the power of the camp and ways in which community can be built from shared experiences.  Our club has enjoyed sending multiple campers over the years, and we enjoy watching them blossom into leaders in the community.  If you know a high school junior in the Roseville area who would benefit from attending such a leadership program, please let us know.
