Rotary Youth Exchange | International Service | Warwick University

Thursday's lunch event was jam packed with great content! Rotary Youth Exchange student Allie Schaeffner from Alleroed, Denmark greeted us and shared why she wanted to take the plunge and come to America for one year.

She is a joy and a delight to host for the Rotary Club of Roseville! We believe in the up and coming generation and strive to develop solid leaders for tomorrow.

Thank you Allie for sharing your heart with us and your year!

Ralph Felix, The Rotary Club of Roseville International Service Chairperson, unveiled the new Awards display for the club. He handcrafted this award display and it shows his dedication not only to international service and Rotary International, but his heart for our club!

Thank you Ralph for giving us the medium to show what we have been recognized for. May many other awards follow, but not to show what we do, but the heart behind what we do.

Dr. Lou Vismara, the Executive Director of the University Development Foundation of Warwick (war-ick, the 2nd "w" is silent) University spoke to us about the Foundation's work and purpose as well as letting us know that the University of Warwick is still in early plans of coming to Roseville.
Although he could not share much with us about the University's plans - due to the accreditation board - he shared with us the success of the flagship campus in the UK, about 100 miles north of London.

"Lou" (that's what he asked to be called) was also interviewed by our very own Charlie Harrison - Membership Chair of the Rotary Club of Roseville. Lou shared how his passion for running has shaped his life and career and how his son, 23 year old Mark, has taught him about humility in a world that wants to celebrate work and accomplishments.

Thank you Dr. Lou for sharing your afternoon with us and we look forward to a long and wonderful relationship with you and the University Development Foundation!
