In 2017 Rotary International made the case that protecting the environment and curbing climate change are essential to Rotary’s goal of sustainable service. This was expressed by every Rotary Club around the world planting trees in its local area. The result being a Rotary that recognizes its responsibility not only to the people on our planet, but to the planet itself.  The Rotary Club of Busselton Geographe Bay has continued to plant trees to show its commitment in this area and with the assistance of Busselton City and some local residents recently planted 500 native seedlings in an area of Abbey being revegetated.
