Last-minute auction ideas
We're all people of action... at the last minute for some folks. With the auction quickly approaching on May 5, some of our members may be scrambling to assemble items that will bring the club the most bang for the least amount of work.
Here are some ideas for all of you scramblers!
Every family loves a good game night basket! You can find a great variety of games at Target, Walmart, Fred Meyer. Pair those with some snacks and drinks and BAM! You've got a great silent auction item!
Who doesn't need a mobile bar with the summer months approaching? Go to any of the stores listed above, grab two cocktail classes, some alcoholic beverages and drink mixes. Throw in some of your favorite salty snacks and put them in a basket with some shredded paper. Boom Mobile Bar!
If a mobile bar doesn't wet your whistle, a summer barbecue survival kit just might! Again, go to any of the stores listed above and grab some BBQ essentials. Condiment bottles, tongs, a cool BBQ potholder and some kitchen towels to clean up the mess, some corn on the cob holders, a burger press, a picnic table cloth, some plates that can be used to serve up food and voila, there's someone's backyard barbecue saved!
Who doesn't want a backyard oasis as cool as Ruth Richardson's? This is perfect for someone who doesn't want to leave Woolley. Just run over to the Country Store and grab a large planter pot. Fill it with the essentials: Gardening gloves, seeds, garden gnomes, a spade set, spray bottle, a small watering can, some seeds. Depending on how big your pot is, you might even throw in a small bag of potting soil! This will take you 30 minutes and you don't even have to leave the 98284 zip code area.
This is the ultimate lazy man's way out that folks can still get behind with a bid or two. Grab a mixing bowl from any of the stores listed above (except the Country Store... not sure what you'd get there...) and add some baking mixes, a whisk, some measuring cups and spoons, a potholder, a spatula and you've got Emeril Lagasse yelling "BAM!" every time someone writes down a bid.

Summer Concert Bands announced
Kris Rothenbuhler and her faithful concert committee have announced the selection of this summer's bands.
The 2023 Summer Concert Series will kick off on July 16 with the Brittany Collins Band.
The Naughty Blokes will hit the stage on July 23. The Blokes perform mostly original rock and roll with a Classic Rock flavor.
Lazy Acres will be entertaining us all on July 30. The high-energy PNW Rock-n-Roll band will surely keep Riverfront Park entertained!
Fortress of the Bear will wrap-up the 2023 concert series on August 6.
