On Saturday, June 11, 2016 the Liberty Garden at Kiwanis Lake was transformed by 13 enthusiastic Uptown York Rotarians.  The great turn-out for this service project resulted in the planting of flowers and shrubs, weeding, and general cleaning-up of this garden that the Uptown Club "adopted" in 2015.

Armed with "diggy-things" and assorted gardening tools (who knew "weeding sticks" were a thing?!?), the team made  quick work of the transformation, leaving behind a more beautiful garden for the community to enjoy.

The Club provides ongoing garden stewardship for the Liberty Garden as well as the Gear Garden at Foundry Park.  Volunteers are always welcome to join us for our monthly "tending" meet-ups during the growing season!
