MV Club Awards Eight Scholarships in 2011

At our club meeting on Tuesday, May 24, our 2011 Lyle Poolman Memorial Scholarship recipients were introduced to the club by Jim VanderMey, chair of the scholarship committee. This year’s recipients are:
Daeleen Visser: Daeleen is a senior at Mount Vernon Christian High School planning to attend Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois, majoring in Elementary Education.
Lorena Lopez: Lorena is a senior at Emerson High School planning to attend Skagit Valley College to study Nursing.
Teylor Wilbur: Teylor is a senior at Mount Vernon High School planning to attend the University of Redlands majoring in Psychology.
Nicole Jennings: Nicole is a senior at Mount Vernon High School planning to attend WWU majoring in Journalism.
Adolf Rivas: Adolf is a senior at Mount Vernon High School planning to attend U of W majoring in Engineering.
Michelle Flores: Michelle is a senior at Mount Vernon High School planning to attend Whitman College majoring in Political Science.
Jazmin Cecena: Jazmin is a senior at Mount Vernon High School planning to attend WWU majoring in Education.
Mariam Witt: Miriam is presently attending Skagit Valley College where she is studying Nursing.
