VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is to be leaders practicing service above self.
MISSION STATMENT
Our mission is Literacy, Learning, Leadership and Service.
Mount Vernon Rotary Club is a service club that:
  • Believes in the supporting literacy needs for children and youth throughout our region and the world.
  • Looks forward to weekly educational and informative programs.
  • Encourages enjoyable fellowship, positive relationships, and professional networking;
  • Desires its members to be known as leaders in the community and wants to provide mentoring and training in developing leadership skills.
  • Promotes the needs of emerging young adults as we do more in developing career fairs and an Interact Club.
  • Desires to work in partnership with other community organizations to help build a healthier Skagit Valley.
  • Provides numerous hands-on service projects to assist our community.
  • Offers scholarship support to deserving youth as well as financial backing for pre-school children needing early learning.
  • Informs the community of our projects, programs, and values.
  • Believes strongly in international projects that promote educational pursuits, and want members to become more informed and aware of these projects.
  • Has had successful growth with an annual auction and wants to provide strong leadership to encourage successful fund-raising.
  • Wants members to be committed to the values of Rotary International, and at the same time have fun.
