The Swanbourne Primary School's Lego Club got a real boost this morning when we donated 2 tubs full of Lego to it.  Staff member Kylie Pedler was at our meeting to accept these tubs on the club's behalf.
Kylie, seen here with our Community services coordinator Michelle, and Club President, Michael indicated that at the school they have a large number of students who will benefit from being able to access the Lego Club.  They have over 90 students from Military families who live in the area; and as they are moved around a lot, sometimes these young people find it difficult to make friends and fit in.  She is hoping that through Lego they can find it easier to make friends, develop their creativity and settle into school life in a much more friendly manner.  On behalf of their school Lego group Kylie thanked our club for our generous donation.

The Lego Tubs are funded through profits from our Bricktober event held annually during October.  For 2021 we are planning to hold Bricktober on the 9th and 10th of October.  Everyone is welcome.  Check out the Bricktober website for more details (they are currently being updated to include this year's event).  Tickets go on sale through the website - so check back when they become available.
