Rotary Ottawa is pleased to welcome Cindy Manor of the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre at our next club meeting (via Zoom).
The Centre serves youth aged 13 -21 struggling with addiction and mental health issues by providing Three months of live-in treatment, three months of aftercare, nurse practitioner support, psychiatric assessment, group therapy, one on one therapy, educational credits, DBT, CBT Training and so much more…
Founder Dave Smith was well known in Ottawa for his many restaurants and his “servant’s heart”. Dave always wanted to give back to the community. Dave’s Dream was to build a new centre and expand services and help more youth in Ontario. The new Centre is slated to open in the fall of 2023.
Cindy Manor now proudly works at the DSYTC as Senior Director of Philanthropy.She has an incredible passion and is always aiming to help youth and families who are struggling with mental health and addiction. She speaks openly about her family’s experience when Hunter attended treatment and her continued efforts to fundraise for the DSYTC. Cindy continues to raise funds through the Centre’s Village of Hope Campaign that launched in 2022.
