The Rotary Club of Coquitlam, along with former Ambassadorial Scholar of the Rotary Club of Coquitlam Yashar Teheri-Keramati, has sponsored the packing and future deliver of a Rotary World Help container to Cuba.
On Saturday, December 15, 2018 three members of the club assisted in the packing of medical equipment and medical supplies into a 40 foot shipping container, which will be stored pending cuban clearance of the shipment, and hopefully shipped to Cuba within 3 months.  Contents included 24 electrical beds, stretchers, OR beds, mattresses, maternity birthing beds, wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, bedside tables, an ENT examination chair, toilet risers, geriatric chairs and three skids of boxes of medical supplies.  The shipment was organized by Rotary World Help, with particular thanks to Dan Gallant and Steve Gable for all their work in the planning and execution of this project and will eventually arrive at a main Havana hospital where medical equipment and supplies are desperately needed.
