Vocational Excellence Awards 2018
 
The Terrigal Rotary Vocational Excellence Awards event held on Thursday 7 June 2018 at which four individuals from diverse industry sectors and professional backgrounds were recognised for achieving and sustaining excellence in their vocation.
The aims of the Award are:
  • To recognise vocational excellence of the highest order and to honour outstanding contribution by individuals or small teams of individuals for significant advancement in their vocational field in Australia.
  • To inspire further enthusiasm and to give added reward to the exceptional achievers.
  • To set an example to others, particularly youth, of the need to strive for vocational excellence for the benefit of their discipline and Australia.
       The awardees were:
  • Courtney Adams
  • Kerryanne Delaney
  • Di Jones
  • Dale Massie
 
Courtney Adams was recognised for providing excellent customer service as a member of the Breakers Country Club Functions Team.  Courtney always displays a positive, professional and friendly attitude and presence.
Kerryanne Delaney was recognised for devoted service to the Member for Terrigal’s Electoral Office and for her professionalism applied to helping and assisting the Central Coast Community.
Di Jones was recognised for long service at Today’s Country 94 in a number roles including Administrative Support; Events Organiser and as a successful on air presenter.  Di’s personal interactions reflect a caring, considerate and sensitive approach to all who come on contact with her.
Dale Massie was recognised as a passionate teacher who structures lessons to ensure every student strives for and achieves their personal best.  Encouraging and supporting students in challenging outside school projects and activities, such as the Model United Nations Assembly, the Illuminate Business Challenge and supporting girls in Third World Countries access education, are examples of Dale’s dedication.
Rotarians and their guests celebrated the award presentations and enjoyed the fellowship on the night.
PP Jill Hamilton was acknowledged by Vocational Director and President Elect Greg Hooper for her contribution to the event.
