A very big thank you to all my friends at Terrigal Rotary for your best wishes, phone calls, messages, and lovely flowers which I received on Today.
My tennis comeback was very short lived! After not having played for around 5 years I was invited to join a group of women from Wood Glen Village who were keen to play tennis regularly, so accepted eagerly.
After just 20 seconds on the court & my first touch of the ball, my feet got in the way and I fell, landing on my shoulder and breaking my collarbone. The worst part of the whole episode was that Harold and I were due to go on a short holiday touring rural New South Wales the next day. Instead I ended up in the Emergency Department in Gosford Hospital. Fortunately, it was a clean break and didn't need surgery.
I am now wearing a sling (another 3 and a bit weeks to go!) and being waited on by my devoted husband, Harold, who is enjoying doing the washing & the cleaning and everything else I am unable to do one-handed!
