Rotary Matters

Right now around 88 million people around the world have been made homeless by natural disaster and conflict. Shelterbox Australia is working to change this. By providing emergency shelter and tools for families robbed of their homes by disaster, Shelterbox is transforming despair into hope. Mike Greenslade CEO of Shelterbox Australia and a member of Alstonville Rotary Club is joined by Johanna Johns current President of Beecroft Rotary Club as they explain how the process works, how and where relief is distributed, how it gets there and the role of Rotary in making it all happen. Another inspiring Rotary story.  www.shelterboxaustralia.org.au

Next Friday Ian Stuart talks with Dr Parry Monckton about Turramurra Rotary Club’s recent Adopt a Town initiative, taking relief to drought stricken communities in the Upper Hunter Valley.
