President Elect Mary reports on Terrigal Rotary's first Pamper Day:
Our first Pamper Day held on 26th November 2018 was declared a success and I should like to thank the many wonderful people who donated their precious time and so much energy to this project. I cannot thank everybody enough and when I think of how beautiful, warm, caring and kind our volunteers were, tears just come to my eyes - they really are such beautiful people with big hearts.
Firstly a big thank you to Manager Rob of the local Neighbourhood Centre for generously donating space to us for this lovely day. Thank you Rob and your wonderful team of ladies who couldn't have been more helpful, going out of their way to offer assistance.
Thank you to Jo Mifsud of Elumen Hair for gathering a team of hairdressers for the day.
The hairdressers made our women guests feel beautiful and cared for. The hairdressers are are as follows:-
Louise Fishburn of Greenpoint, Rebekah Hadall, Jess Tate, Prue Kent and Tracey Williams. Thanks also to Haritage for Hair who was referred by Kate and Mark Reynolds of Cash Back World.
Thank you to Vanessa Casey of Vanity by Vanessa who transformed many of the women with amazing make-up - the women could have been taken for film stars when they left us - beautiful job Vanessa and she didn't stop for 4 and half hours solid.
Cody Santi who was referred by Gosford TAFE Hair and Beauty School and Anat Offer pampered our womens arms and hands making their hand soft and pretty as did Heather McConichie.
Thanks to Contour College for supplying a free beauty treatment to all our lovely clients and a big thank you to all of the beautiful women from New Leaf Dining for the hundreds of gorgeous gifts we were able to put in the clients gift bags when they left.
Thank you also to Stephanie MacDonald for caring for the children.
Rotarians and friends of Rotarians were there to help, providing delicious sandwiches and cake plus tea, coffee and juice - thank you to all of them.
We are all looking forward to holding another Pamper Day in six months time. Probably late May or early June and I dearly hope all theses wonderful people will be with us to offer women less fortunate a few hours TLC and relaxation. Thanks for your help. Mary
