Central Coast – International Women’s Day Expo 2015

Celebrating Women on the Coast

 

Event Overview

 

Date:   10am till 3 pm, Saturday 7th March 2015.

No entry fee.

 

Venue: Ourimbah University Campus, Brush Road, Ourimbah

 

Event Co-ordinators: This event is a unique collaboration of Central Coast service groups including Rotary, Lions, Soroptimists, WOW Girls and  Zonta, along with Central Coast community representatives.

 

Event Overview: Celebrating International Women’s Day, this event will be a family friendly event celebrating the achievements of women on the Coast. It will highlight their participation in all areas of our community including local, national and international women’s issues. The event will also provide opportunities to learn about our community groups and opportunities to get involved.

 

Run along the style of a market, there will be stalls showcasing various organisations and businesses. Examples of these include

  • Volunteer groups

  • Education institutes

  • The Arts – visual arts, music, dance and craft activities

  • Commercial Businesses and networking groups

  • Support Services for women and families

  • Children’s activities – reading corner, interactive art

 

It will also be a happy and interesting day with lots of entertainment and family fun.

 

Entertainment: Local performers will be showcased in displays of dance, music and live art, along with activities for all ages from jumping castles to a knitting corner

 

Seminars: A series of seminars on women’s issues and stories will be held in a lecture room and available for everyone at no charge. These will be child friendly.

Exhibitor: Promote your organisation or business by taking up a stall.

  • Stalls will be under cover and measure approx. 3 metres x 3 metres.

  • All stall holders must provide a current  Public Liability Certificate of Currency

  • Stall Booking forms must be fully completed with all fees paid by Friday 13th February to reserve your stall. Limited stalls are available and will be allocated on a “first in” basis on receipt of form and payment.  

  • Stall fees will be $ 25 for “not for profit” groups and $75 for commercial stalls

  • Food stalls  will be $75 per stall

 

Exhibitor Information / Restrictions: This is NOT to be used as fundraiser for your organisation. The event is NOT designed to be a competitive event between organisations trying to raise a lot of money. It is about awareness of all the wonderful organisations and groups on the Coast. It is to encourage participation and engaging our community through a happy, interactive family friendly day out.

  • A donation bucket at your stall or a raffle is acceptable

  • Encourage people to sign up, volunteer and / or  join your organisation through interesting displays or activities

  • There will be opportunities for several organisations to run activities in the main central grass are, please submit your ideas to our committee for approval and to have a time slot allocated
