Dark Days in NepalThis is just an update on what we are doing in Nepal at the moment and also the lucky winners of our raffle are mentioned at the end.
The 80 days of forced COVID19 lockdown is escalating poverty to the point of some people are suffering starvation. On Saturday Nepal reported 331 new Covid-19 infections, taking the national tally to 8,605. This is mainly due to the return of migrant workers and now with opening up of businesses (due to economic reasons), the numbers are now set to dramatically rise.How is the Didi Foundation is helping?Working with our local municipality we are providing pregnant and new mothers with food, medicines, and some basic needs. We are also, supporting those who are disadvantaged in our community and supporting our employees with wages so that they can care for their families and extended families.You can help and double your donation |
