Allan Stevens - Campfire Project
Allan told us of the need he was responding to, which was, firstly that most suicides are younger men, and secondly, that men in this day and age found it difficult to define their role in society and the home. One of the ways to deal with this was by telling ones own story and listening to others in a non judgmental situation. Inspired by the understanding and practice of Aboriginal Lore, Allan has established a place where men (and increasingly women,) can go, both face to face and online, to talk about their experience, hopes and fears without a resolution being mandated. #Wetogether will find the project and the parameters.
