APEX STILL SERVES
APEX STILL SERVES
It was a pleasure to have Jamie Vincent as our guest speaker. There are many Rotarians who started their life of service by joining an Apex Club. Jamie bought us up to date with the present day activities of the remaining Apexians who although numbers are now much smaller than the heydays of Apex nevertheless still creatively manage the trusts set up in previous years.

It was encouraging to learn that the Magic Castle ski lodge build in the early days of skiing is still being actively used.  Current Apexians have substantially rebuild the original lodge which is primarily used by young people. Our member Maggie and Jamie her husband do a considerable amount of cooking for the guests. Good use is also being made of the trusts to assist disadvantaged and disabled children.  Jamie showed us that he maintains enormous enthusiasm for the ongoing projects to which the current membership devote as always an incredible amount of time.

As a past Apexian I was thrilled to hear firstly that Apex is still ongoing and secondly that it continues to provide a wonderful avenue for friendship and services.
