Ben Lee is an Australian lawyer working in human rights. In recent years, Ben has worked with the United Nations as an investigator and an advisor. He's served with the UN’s Missions in Afghanistan and Iraq, with the UN’s Independent Commission of Inquiry on Syria, and with UN country offices in Cambodia and Myanmar.
Ben has also been an advisor to governments and non-governmental organisations. He was the Human Rights Policy Advisor to Australia’s delegation at the Human Rights Council in Geneva – the UN’s main human rights forum, and earlier served as Human Rights Advisor on Northern Ireland’s Bill of Rights process.
