United Way is coordinating and implementing in-person extended learning programming at Knapp and Julian Thomas Community Schools immediately following RUSD’s summer school classes. Summer school runs Mondays-Thursdays, June 21-July 29. There’s no programming on Fridays, or on Monday, July 5. Extended learning hours are 12:35-4:45. The response from students and families has been great and we are working to provide fun and engaging activities with the kids but we are looking for help.

We need volunteers to help guide students through enrichment activities (sports, arts and crafts, story time, etc.), supervise students, etc. No previous experience is needed. Activities and supplies will be provided. People can volunteer for as many or as few hours per week as their schedule allows.

You are all influential in the community and have large networks. If you could help us by volunteering yourselves and encouraging others to do the same we would appreciate it!

Anyone interested in learning more can express an interest here by June 11.

If you have specific questions you need answered prior to filling out the form please contact Lori Riffer at lriffer@unitedwayracine.org or 262.456.6468.

We all know the impact the gift of time can have on another person. This is a great opportunity to make a big impact for with little time!

Thank you for your help and consideration.
