Pittsford and Honeoye Falls-Mendon Rotary clubs collaborated on the annual Teddy Bear Picnic on September 24 at Kings Bend Park in Pittsford. This year, they donated over 50 Teddy bears, stuffed toys and baby blankets which will be used by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and area Emergency Medical Technicians to help soothe children caught in an emergency or traumatic situation.
 
Event Chair, Bruce Spector, along with Chef Jim Cameron grilled chicken breast and steaks for the Rotarian's extended families and guests Monroe County Captain Bob Clar, Pittsford Volunteer Fire Chief Rob Cline with his wife Kelly Cline, and Deputy Director of Operations for the Pittsford Volunteer Ambulance, Don Hammond. Everyone brought an appetizer, side dish or dessert to accompany the main course.
 
Singing sensations, Drew Moore and Lynn Freshman, started the evening's program by leading the "The Star Spangled Banner".

This year, they donated over 50 Teddy bears which will be distributed by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Monroe County Victims Advocate and Pittsford Emergency Medical Technicians to children caught in emergency or traumatic situations. In addition to the stuff toys, Rotarians also brought an appetizer, side dish or dessert to accompany the main course. Rotarian Jim Cameron grilled chicken breast and steaks.
 
Monroe County Sheriff Department Captain Paul DeLella, his wife Mary of Monroe County Victims Advocate, President of the Pittsford Volunteer Fire Department Todd Long, and Monroe County County Clerk Candidate Cheryl Rozzi were a few guests. Emcees were Presidents of both Clubs, Matt O'Connor and Joseph Rosensheim. Singing sensations, Manny and Lynn Freshman, started the evening's program by leading the "The Star Spangled Banner". President Matt presented a check to Todd Long. And President Rosensheim announced that other Monroe County Rotary Clubs will pursue a similar Teddy Bears picnic.
