Naples Rotarians gathered at the Redwood tonight, thankful for the cool of air conditioning. We numbered 23 members with 3 others chaperoning at RYLA this week. Our two guests, introduced by Frank, were Chip and Stuart Weismiller, who are with us for the summer!

President Jack started us with the Pledge, followed by The Star Spangled Banner. His words of inspiration, shared from Sherry were: "Communicate, even when it's uncomfortable. Sometimes, the best way to heal is by sharing everything that's been on your mind."

July is New Leadership month and Maternal/ Child Health Month. We are planning to make a donation to the Texas communities devastated by flooding, via the Rotary Club of Kerrville TX. The Board will discuss at next week's meeting.
July is also time for paying dues. Zeffy QR codes are available in a binder on the check-in desk.

Our speaker had to cancel tonight but will be rescheduled soon. Jack used the meeting to discuss our Club Goals for the new Rotary year, 2025-2026.
Each year, Rotary International (RI) encourages clubs to pursue a number of goals. Jack identified 20 for us to work toward. We track these goals in My Rotary Club Central page. Several are already achieved: online presence, update of website and social media, Interact Club, RYLA participation and use of Official Rotary Promotional Materials.
Priority Goals include increasing club membership to 55 (currently 51), service event participation by 45 members, and Polio Plus Fund contributions. We also donate to the RI Annual Fund at the $2500 level via individual donations and Paul Harris Fellow donations.
Additional goal numbers were set for social activities, service projects, new member sponsors, Action Groups, leadership development, District conference attendance, fellowship participation and District training. Thanks to our vibrant youth exchange program, our goals of inbound and outbound exchange students are achieved. Also in the works are review and update of our By-laws and increasing our media posts about club projects and events. All in all it looks like a very active year ahead!
Sue suggested that everyone should update their personal info in My Rotary which includes participation in events and projects. A group tutorial for how to do this would be a great program.

Announcements: Brews and Barks fundraiser is this Thursday at Brew & Brats. * The RPO has a concert at Bristol Mountain that evening too. * Our annual World Polio Day will be at Brew & Brats on Thursday, October 23, 2005. * Becky's birthday is this month so we sang to her. * We are anticipating having a couple Meet and Greet events at Lynnie Lou's soon - more info to come! YUM!

The Ace of Hearts was $18. #849 was Frank's ticket, the Queen of Hearts was pulled by lucky Jo!
Happy Bills were given for a trip to a wedding in PA, Weaver's ice cream on the way south and north. John gave $12 for 12 years of marriage to Sherry. He was happy for the permit for Naples Open Cupboard's new location. The program was very informative and it was great to have traveling folks back with us tonight. The Camp O Carnival is coming up on August 17! RYLA is happening at FLCC this week. David, Carrie and Bill are there with NHS student, Carly Waltman, attending. We keep people in Texas and Grand Canyon areas in our thoughts. Patrice and Bo are happy to be home with their family visiting. And we are thankful for our Rotary friends!
The Rotary Moment was a photo of the Naples Rotarians at RYLA!

Jack finished up with the Four Way Test and the ringing of the bell! Have a great week!
