TRUNK OR TREAT for Penn Youth Foundation

The Penn Youth Foundation’s Annual Trunk or Treat Parade will be held on Saturday, October 30 from 3 - 6 p.m. at the old Hilo Lanes parking lot.  Volunteers will decorate their car trunks or truck beds and park them within the “maze” area of the parking lot.  From 3 - 6:00  the parking lot will be open to the community to “parade” through the maze in their vehicles to view the trunks and collect their treats.  

 

We are looking for volunteers to decorate their trunks, donate candy, and/or help pass out candy.  The event organizers will provide hand fish nets to pass out candy so safe distancing can be practiced.  Decorated vehicles must be in place by 2 p.m.  There will be first, second, and third place prizes for each category - Best Car, Best SUV or van, and Best Truck.  All participants must wear masks for safety and all will be creatively costumed!

 

Please email Beckie Marshall (east@vashbigisland.org) to sign up your vehicle or with any questions.  We will also be accepting candy donations to be dropped off at either Day Lum or Hawaii Printing offices.  Candy must be store bought, packaged and don’t forget to write your name on your bag(s) so the club can credit your participation and recognize your donation!
