At our Board meeting this week we approved a number of projects which Mark Hillis put to the Club (see report below). We also discussed the suggestion from the Tent Hire committee that we drop the price of the tents from $100 to $50 but have asked for more information.
The Sprout & About committee have successfully run the first 'new look' market and congratulations to all involved! We are looking to invite South Wagga Apex Club to take on the BBQ duties at this monthly market in an effort to get to know some of their members with a view of boosting our membership down the track!
The Gears & Beers committee have requested that they nominate a charity for a 'sizeable' donation from the Club through the due process of the Projects committee - this was supported.
As previously informed we are taking the lead in establishing a new RotarAct Club in Wagga (rotary for 18-30 yr olds!). An informal information evening is to be held at the Black Swan hotel in North Wagga on Friday 11th December. If you know a young person who might just be interested in joining a "social club with a community focus" please encourage them to come along.
At our AGM we approved the 2014/15 financials and also answered 4 questions on notice regarding the financials.
1. Please advise how much of the outstanding funds have been received to 31st October 2015 and if all monies not received, is it projected that there will be any bad debts? ANSWER: The majority of the $6,000 owing has been paid but approximately $1,000 from stall holders at various events is still unpaid.
2. Please advise whether the Board is considering registering community account or sub entity of community account for GST purposes in order to comply with Australian Taxation guidelines. ANSWER: Yes this is being considered.
3. Please advise when an audited financial report for RYPEN 2014/15 is to be presented to the board and club? ANSWER: This is not required but an accountant's statement will be provided in due course.
4. Due to changing community fund raising events to major annual events and the establishment of event treasurer’s and establishment of separate bank accounts for those festivals, in light of the changed circumstances will the board be conducting a review of role and responsibilities of the Club Treasurer and Event’s treasurer’s positions.ANSWER: This has been considered by the Board and current arrangements are considered to be satisfactory.
Congratulations to Geoff Breust and his new Board, especially to President Elect Paul Milde - a worthy choice ensuring our Club will be in good hands! And to James Hamilton for volunteering to take on the role of Public Officer - it is greatly appreciated!

Kat reported that she had been on a trip to Jindabyne with a few members and their wives for the weekend of motorbike riding and high altitude training. Which was no use to her on the gym floor, as she is sporting a bandage to the right ankle. As well as that, she went to a winery in Griffith, where she took a call from her Dad, who said send some wine over! He then asked which winery she was at, and then said to her not to bother.
Sgt Paul Milde got the lot to kick the tin today. Melbourne Cup Winners, Bagpipe player - Pres Geoff, Pykie for golfing on a cattle station, Mayor of North Wagga - L. Blowes for a tv interview on the trotting track development on the floodplain in North Wagga and the well dressed gentlemen who went to the dinner on Tuesday night last week.

1st Sprout & About market. Lovely sunny morning, 43 sites occupied with vendors selling various types of goods and chattels. Feed back from 98% of stall holders was very positive and public comments were positive with the change in market strategy. The general atmosphere of the market has been uplifted. Property committee had a meeting on site. Thanks to the members who manned the BBQ.
Recommendations
Need to change the name of the market on the long banners
Need repairs to a few of the large umbrellas
Need to repair locking mechanism on fold up tables or replace
Approximately 12 marquees were identified for repairs by wrapping a yellow tape around the marquee cover when placed on the trailers.
That the club member to be the OIC should be rostered on the team the month preceding OIC duties so the member is familiar with market operations.
To effectively set up and pull down market equipment need a refresher training session for members.

Wagga Picnic Races/Country Hope - Refund of $2700 tent hire
Kurrajong Early Intervention Information Day Refund of $2500 tent hire

Secretary Laurie presented the minutes of the last AGM.

Jim Gibson presented the Audited Report, prepared by Twomeys, for 14/15 year which was distributed to the members on the 2nd November 2015 for perusal at leisure.
This included a qualified report, 5 P & L's - a consolidated one, and one for each of the four activities and a balance sheet. Essentially there has been a revenue of $318,074 , expenditure of $327,203 which includes depreciation of some $8000.
We managed to spend all the money we received.
Motion. " That the Audited Report be accepted". Moved Jim Gibson, Seconded, Darren Wallace. CARRIED.
Questions with notice were presented and answered to the overwhelming satisfaction of members.

Wollundry Rotary Club are now the owners of a HP Officejet Printer .
It is capable of printing , copying and scanning .
If any committees need to print flyers etc. the printer is housed at Laurie's house.
Members please remember , it is up to you to find a swap if you are unable to carry out your rostered duty .
I do not mind sending an email to all members on your behalf but it is up to you to make sure the rostered duty is covered.
Correspondance was recieved from Australian Rotary Health thanking our Club for the $520.00 we collected and donated to Hat Day supporting Mental Health.
Congratulations to Paul Milde for his selection as President of our club for 16/17 .and thank you for your help guiding me through my first AGM as Secretary.
