District 9700 held its annual conference at Orange last weekend. Wollundry was well represented with 13 members and partners attending. Pictured are most of the group at the dinner on Saturday night.
Key note speakers were Keith Suters and Father Chris Riley. Keith spoke about the issues concerning world peace, emphasising that we live in the most peaceful period of the last two centuries. Father Chris from the "Youth Off The Streets" organisation spoke about the confronting issue of sexual exploitation of children. His organisation is now working in country areas with the very concerning trend that towns such as Bourke, Narrandera and Griffith are in need of his organisation's assistance.
Paul Murray received a special District Governor's award at the Orange 9700 District Conference.
Paul is pictured with DG Geoff Tancred and his wife Bettye.
Where would District 9700 be, and indeed our club be if it was not for the fantastic professional service Paul gives in ensuring that all our IT facilities and capabilities are at a world standard.
Official representatives of the RI President at the 9700 district conference were Kamal and Sonal Sanghvi, from the Rotary Club of Dhanbad in District 3250 in India.

Team:James Ross, Nick Leywood, Wayne Jenkins, Bob Willis, Kev Roben.
A warm, sunny day with a great team in attendance. A bus load of "grey visitors" arrived which raised the coffers of both the club and the stall holders.
President Phil gave a detailed report on the current financial position of the club and the decisions for the coming year that we are confronted with if we are going to provide enhanced services to the Wagga Wagga Community and meet our national and international commitments as Rotarians. He gave a report on each of the club accounts and highlighted that we are tracking on target for our adjusted budget for 2013-14.
The gradual decrease each year in the income from our main source, the Sunday Markets was discussed as was the the unplanned increase in income from equipment hire and the Australia Day market.
