Tuesdays meeting was the annual Changeover dinner. It was the final meeting with Phil McIntosh as President and the formal induction of John Ferguson as President for 2014-15.
Pictured here are Past President Phil and Lynette. Past President Phil had an outstanding year. In his Presidents report he outlined some of the notable achievements of the year with the Riverina BMW Food and Wine Festival being on the top of the list. He also identified the outstanding social functions that the club members had participated in. He thanked all of the members for their contributions and gave a special thanks to Lyn for her continuous support throughout the year. He concluded with his best wishes to President John and Judy for the year ahead. A detailed listing of the Phil’s President Report and all of the Director’s report will be available on the website.

John gave members an overview of his observations and objectives for the year and noted that 'this club has great fellowship and enjoyment in its activities...that without this final ingredient organisations drift and fall apart' He went on to say "To continue to be strong and successful, we as a club must:
Be Relevant to the community it serves
Have Meaningful operations and programs for its members
And above all, members must find their service, their time, their contributions to be enjoyable."
John concluded his remarks by congratulating Past President Phil on an outstanding year.

PP Doug gave a short thank you speech after receiving his PHF. Paul Milde gave the prelude to the announcement of the PHF recipient and said that the member had been in Rotaract. Sitting at his table Doug immediately thought " I was in Rotaract...I wonder how many other members were in Rotaract...I hope it's not me". It was him, and very well deserved.

The 2014 Changeover Dinner came to a shocked silence after President Phil made the announcement that our very popular and highly respected fellow member Dick Smith had passed away.
The news came to Phil in a text message and he immediately informed the membership. President Phil noted that the club’s sincere condolences go to Gail and all the family at this most difficult time.
The funeral is being held on Tuesday June 24th at 2:30pm at the Wagga Wagga Lawn Cemetery and Crematorium.
