Our Meeting 17 july 2018 President James welcomed members and guests and reminded us of the Rotoract changeover dinner at downside hall this Saturday and the tree planting at wallacetown on sunday. Neil Pinto - Rotary Exchange Neil told us about our incoming exchange student Irene arriving 30/7/2018. He would like a roster of activities created for irene with involvement of all club memebers through the year. He reminded the club to make sure all memebers working with children documents are up to date. John Gray Made a brief visit to graham Burmeister in hospital at reported he was comfortable and smiling. Member Update James Hamilton James gave the first member update for 2018, with a brief outline of his current activities since retiring from the Ag Department over five years ago. James has kept very busy with travelling, big involvement with church activities and administration, helping on many community comittees and boards, and tinkering with a 1964 Landrover! |
Reminders - Dates for the Diary :
PP Rick Priest took us on a short trip to Mannus. He highlighted the problems that some communities have with technology, not understanding how to get the best from the gifts and work done by worldwide clubs. He was urging the club to do follow up reports.
