Today was our annual general meeting with a good number of members present. The 2020 minutes of the AGM were confirmed with no business arising. The auditor's report for that year were presentedand accepted except for a few minor variations needed, picked up by certain vigilant members! We are currently more solvent than planned with Covid massively limiting our income over that period. The Auditors for next year will continue as for the current ones. There wil be some changes coming from RI that may necesitate some minor changes to our bylaws but this can wait until it arises. We now have the board members for 21/22 filled except for the president elect. There are some familiar faces, so in tne interest of the club in members rotating in the positions I would like you all to consider perhaps a maximum of 2 or 3 years in a role as this would give other members a chace to contribute. There is no urgency for this however. James Hamilton accepted the role of public officer. Tim Hutchings won the lucky number draw. Despite a big agenda the meeting went tro time. Some people are still using Zoom, which is pleasing to keep those members informed on what is happening. WIth a little luck before Xmas some of the restrictions may be lifted and more can attend physically. I encourage any members who may not be double vaccinated to do so, particularly with rising cases in Wagga. Secretary Phil did more than he had to for the meeting; many thanks Phil 3 menbers received Paul Harris new pins but as they did not want a fuss I gave them to them privatelu. We all signed a card of condolence to Rick priest on the death of his sister. He thanked the club and made a light hearted but serious reply. The Xmas party is at Mark Hillis's home, on the 12th of december; all welcome. have a good week all. |
