Search for the Pink Lake

8 intrepid walkers went in search of the fabled Pink Lake. After a harrowing bus ride to Garden City we tramped for a couple of kilometres and saw the bright pink lake nestled under the Westgate Bridge in the Westgate Park. Walking a circuit of the lake, we spied many waterbirds and sculptures in a bushland setting. We also discovered why it is pink. Looking up under the bridge we marveled at the engineering skill involved in the building of the bridge. After all the hard work of the expedition we then searched out a cafe for a reviving cup of coffee but no donut! Thanks Dennis for leading the group.
