Albury with Marilyn, Rake and Fruit Flies.

Nineteen bright eyed and bushy tailed members boarded the train bound for Albury. On our walk from the station we spied the Waterstreet Hotel former home of Charles Waterstreet AKA Rake and subject of the Archibald Prize winner 2015. Actor Richard Roxburgh is also an Albury boy, there must be something in the water!
MAMA Albury's new modern Art Gallery was hosting Marilyn. A talk by Director Jackie Hernsley rounded off a great show. A fair bit of socialising took place before heading out for dinner.
Four hardy souls sped up Monument Hill at 7am leaving the sensible ones to a leisurely breakfast. Albury Botanic gardens were a delight and coffee was had alongside the "Mighty Murray" After a delicious lunch we visited the famous Flying Fruit Fly Circus and were treated to a talk by director Richard and then 30 or so students went through a practice routine. Wonderful!!!
What a fun filled 2 days in the company of great friends.
