On April 21,2017 we look forward to a talk by Bryan Nykon on Peace and Conflict Resolution. Bryan is a 2009 Rotary Peach Scholar. Bryan, endorsed by the Rotary Club of Burnaby Metrotown, has completed his dissertation at Bradford University. Bryan's focus is the use of media to further peace in our world. He continues to work for the Vancouver Police Department and teach at Langara College, while being busy as a dad of 2 young children. In May he will be leading a seminar on effective communication and verbal de-escalation for 400 volunteers of the Vancouver Police and is pleased to share skills he learned through Rotary. |
