Guest Speaker Leah Rando-Poller, Bats for Will

Educator and resin artist Leah is the Regional representative and Ambassador for Bats for Will (Willo). People with intellectual challenges constitute a group at very high risk of exclusion at a community level. They are often denied opportunities to fully participate in the activities of their communities because they are seen as not able: they are seen as disabled. Willo inspires artists and community members to paint cricket bats that have been refurbished by people living with intellectual challenges. These communities are brought together through cricket and art, realised through cricket bat art exhibitions. The exhibitions create an opportunity to connect which has the potential to change individual behaviours and perceptions of inclusion at all levels in the community.

DON'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO HEAR THIS INSPIRING WOMAN SPEAK!

Leah says......

"I love exploring our own country, meeting new people and the human-interest stories that come from making such connections. I have walked 120km of the El Camino in Spain with 10 other breast cancer survivors and raised a combined $75 thousand dollars for Breast Cancer Network Australia (2018).  I have also raised over $4000 for Breast Cancer Care WA with the Big Bra Link in Bunbury (2014).
Oh….I am also a passionate West Coast eagles supporter! I make NO apologies for that! ðŸ˜Š"
