Did you know?
How many people attended the first Rotary meeting on Thursday evening, February 23, 1905?
Four: Paul Harris, Silvester Schiele and Hiram Shorey met in Gustavus Loehr’s office.
Our February 10th meeting will be hosted by Wuesthoff Medical Center.  As we all know Wuesthoff has been a great supporter of all our club does, so lets all turn out and show our appreciation for this excellent medical facility!
In March the Rotary Club of Suntree, along with their newly sponsored Rotary Club of Viera, will hold their meeting at the Kennedy Space Center.  Spouses and significant others are invited.  More details to follow.

The Rotary Club of Suntree capped off their 13th annual Great Tastes at Suntree fundraising event with their presentation breakfast.  In attendance were Rotarians, event sponsors, participating restaurants as well as representatives from the three charities benefitting from this event.

The fundraiser was a huge success, raising a record amount of money.  Almost 30 restaurants participated and helped the Rotary club raise money for local Brevard charities targeting children.  The charities receiving the proceeds were: Gabriel Place, Boys and Girls Club - Temple Terrace, and Take Stock in Children.

Each charity received a check for $5,000 from the Great Tastes at Suntree.  This event has been successful each year as local charities are selected to receive the proceeds and the Suntree Rotary Club’s membership works on the details of making the event bigger and better every year.

Rotary Club of Suntree president Steve Soltesz opened the breakfast and thanked everyone for attending.  Event co-chair Dane Theodore thanked the sponsors and restaurants for making this event a success.  Co-chair Alan Frisher presented the checks to the charities.

Thank you everyone for your hard work.  See you next year!

On January 14th Suntree Rotarians will be doing a clean-up at Gabriel's Place off of Route 1, near Pineda Causeway.  Details of what tools to bring will be discussed at our Friday meeting!
