Dr. Paul Dhillon (aka "Master of Disaster) gave a very informative presentation to Rotary members and guests about his work as a volunteer doctor at the Sierra Leone Ebola Clinic in 2014-15. He and a Canadian Forces medical staff of 30 worked with African people at the clinic who had contracted the Ebola virus - the patient fatality rate was 70%. He worked in a 'red zone' at the clinic in a very hot climate. It took 45 minutes to fully suit up before entering the red zone, double glove protection, and mandatory use of chlorine throughout the complex.
