RCMP Stuff the Squadcar Toy Drive

The Richmond RCMP Toy Drive and Pancake Breakfast is a fun and festive event organized by the Richmond RCMP and supported by generous community partners such as Save On Foods, Canadian Tire, Tim Hortons, McDonald’s, Coast Capital Savings and the Rotary Club of Steveston. We gather the troops into the parking lot of Ironwood Mall Shopping Centre, create a Christmas themed atmosphere (including Santa himself) and invite the public to join our celebration by bringing a new unwrapped toy to “Stuff the Squad Car” or give a cash donation to receive a free pancake breakfast, a visit with Santa, and other various goodies provided by our sponsors. The main objective is to bring our community together and encourage the spirit of giving to the less fortunate but after the second year of doing this event, it’s obvious that the pancakes have stolen the show!! All proceeds collected benefit the Richmond Christmas Fund, a program of Richmond Cares Richmond Gives who assist low income residents of Richmond. Every year, they assist over 2000 families with grocery vouchers and children with toys, books and gift cards. The more we raise, the more families we can help!
