Presentation by John Charbonneau - Mortgage Broker and fellow Rotarian, explained away several myths about reverse Mortgages in Canada and if you missed the talk  it is well worth  finding out more. 
Meeting notes:
The club  is now required to keep a log of member’s volunteer hours and any donations received with in Rotary projects.
This information will be collected and submitted to the District on a monthly basis.
Please keep track of your hours and update information at every meeting.
 
Scott Campbell passed around a list of events for the following year and is looking for members to commit to projects in advance so that dates from all sides are “in the diary.” Please let him know how you would like to be involved
 
The date for our Paul Harris Community  Award presentation is October 17th and will be at the Catch Restaurant. We will have a private space and the set meal will be about $40 pp

Research is underway for a  Jack Evans Memorial Golf  Event  to be scheduled for May 2018.
 
Rob will send out a memo asking for volunteers to man a tent at Steveston Market for the sale of Duck Race Tickets. Please return sold books asap and more tickets and posters are available from John or Rob.
 
An advert for the Duck Race will appear in August “Insider” along with a big Thank you to those who supported our Grapes Hops and Bites event.
