Dear Rotarians,

I hope you were at lunch last week! It was incredibly interesting to hear Bruce Hilbert speak about 3D printing and what his company's vision is for what that can do for the construction industry in our country and in the world. Coming to us from Branch Technology, Bruce spoke on the innovative uses of 3D printing and how they can see it revolutionize many aspects of architecture and construction in the not-to distant future.

We also recognized Dennis Stohler as a Paul Harris Fellow +1 in our meeting Wednesday. Congratulations Dennis! Additionally, Thursday evening, several of us had he privilege to serve dinner to families at the Ronald McDonald House. Many came in tired and drained from being with their children at the hospital and were thankful to have a good, hot meal. Thanks to Andrea Galloway for organizing this opportunity for us to get out and serve this appreciative group of folks.

Tomorrow will be our Club Assembly day. We will hear from each of our Board committee chairs and what their vision is for the team they will lead and their plans to carry it out. As always, we will call upon the membership to join one or more of these teams to utilize their giftedness and talents, to help do those things. Is it possible to have everyone share in a meaningful opportunity for involvement? Yes! And it will start tomorrow as we look at what is ahead of us in 2017-18 with offerings of how you can get involved! I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

District Governor Deborah Alexander-Davis will be at our August 16 meeting
The District Seminars about Membership, Rotary Foundation, and Youth Service will take place Saturday, August 19th at Cleveland State. Registration starts at 8:00 am and seminars start at 8:30 am. All members are invited to attend. To register for the seminar, go to www.directory-online.com, click the Calendar tab, find the date and click to Register Now. Select the Cleveland location as you register.
